You know how to handle the pressure. But who supports you with what’s happening underneath it?
Working in the yachting industry can be exciting and rewarding, but it can also be demanding. Long hours, high expectations, close working environments and the pressure to perform can make it difficult to properly switch off.
When the pressure continues for too long, it can start affecting your confidence, your thoughts, your emotions and how you feel both onboard and away from work.
I provide specialist online hypnotherapy for yacht crew who want to feel calmer, more confident and more in control.

When the pressure doesn’t switch off
You may be highly capable at what you do, yet still find yourself:
- Feeling mentally “on duty” even when you’re off shift
- Replaying conversations, decisions or mistakes in your head
- Feeling pressure to get everything right
- Losing confidence when you’re under pressure
- Finding it difficult to properly relax during downtime
- Overthinking situations long after they have happened
- Feeling that you always need to appear capable and in control
Sometimes the person who looks the most confident on the outside can be carrying the most pressure underneath.
You know yachting. I know the mind.
I haven’t worked on a yacht myself and I won’t pretend that I have.
You know your industry. You know the demands of your role. You don’t need another person telling you how to do your job.
What I bring is something different.
As a qualified RTT® Hypnotherapist, my expertise is helping people change the patterns of thinking, emotional responses and self-beliefs that can keep them feeling anxious, overwhelmed or stuck.
My role isn’t to tell you how to manage life onboard.
It’s to help you with the part that isn’t always visible — what’s happening in your head.
Whether you’re a stewardess, chief stew, deckhand, officer, engineer, HOD or captain, you may be exceptionally capable at your job while still struggling internally.
You don’t have to choose between being successful in your career and feeling good within yourself.
Why working with me can be different
You may already know what you’re struggling with.
You may have talked about it, thought about it, tried to manage it or simply told yourself to get on with it.
But knowing what the problem is doesn’t always mean you can change the way you automatically respond to it.
That’s where my approach is different.
Rather than simply giving you more things to think about or strategies to cope with, I work with you to explore the patterns that may be keeping the response in place and help you create a different way of thinking, feeling and responding.
Your sessions are personal to you, your experiences and what you want to change.
No judgement. No one-size-fits-all approach. Just a confidential space to work on what matters to you.
Client Transformation
From Survival Mode to Self-Trust
A client came to me feeling trapped in uncertainty around her future and career progression. Although highly capable, she found herself overthinking, preparing for worst-case scenarios, and struggling to trust herself in moments of change.
This was affecting her sleep, emotional wellbeing, and sense of control.
Through RTT, we uncovered long-standing patterns linked to earlier experiences of pressure and instability.
As these patterns shifted, she began to experience:
- deeper sleep and relaxation
- reduced overthinking and emotional reactivity
- increased calm and confidence
- greater presence in daily life and relationships
- a more positive, grounded outlook on her future
One of the biggest shifts was her ability to say:
“I feel calm, capable, and excited about my future.”
This work was not about fixing her it was about helping her reconnect with a more grounded and confident way of being.
Case Study: How One Yacht Crew Client Overcame a Long-Standing Fear Response
Overview
A private client working within the yachting industry sought support for a long-standing fear response that had been impacting daily life and personal freedom for many years.
The focus of the work
The client came to sessions after a period of reflection, feeling ready to address deeper emotional patterns linked to earlier life experiences. The intention was to create a sense of calm, safety, and internal re-alignment around a deeply ingrained response.
The process
From the first session, the client reported feeling at ease and able to engage openly. The work focused on guiding the subconscious mind to understand and reframe the origin of the response in a safe and contained way, allowing new patterns to emerge naturally over time.
Outcome
After two sessions and follow-ups, the client experienced a significant shift in emotional response. What had previously felt automatic and overwhelming became neutralised, allowing for a greater sense of freedom and ease in daily life.
The client described feeling “lighter, freer, and no longer governed by something that once felt deeply ingrained.”
Client reflection
“I felt completely safe from the very first session. Jackie’s calm, grounded approach helped me shift something I had carried for many years. The change has been profound and lasting.”
